Artificial intelligence can chart the development of pre-term babies says Head Researcher Dr Nathan Stevenson.
Dr Stevenson is tracking the progression of babies’ heart rates to see how they develop in neonatal intensive care.
“Every time your heart beats – particularly in these little ones, it generates a little electrical signal, and we can measure that signal over a long period of time,” Dr Stevenson told Sky News Australia.
“It turns out it (AI) can tell us the age really accurately, down to about a week”.
